Is it possible to tell a story that resonates with every human on Earth? I think so, and I'll show you how. I'm an art director, I make commercials and content. And one secret advertisers have mastered for decades is leveraging human truths and advertising, we call them insights. They're not just facts or observations, they're the unspoken revelations that change the way you see a problem or change the way you see yourself. That's why great ideas travel, cross cultures, borders, because they tap into something universal, the why behind our behavior. Here are three ways to find great insights. Number one, observe behavior, watch what people do, not what they say. We are looking for why people do what they do. Number two, travel, literally change your perspective. On your next work trip, watch for those behaviors that cross borders and cultures. And number three, listen, listen for the butt, listen for contradictions. For example, I travel a lot for work, and I've noticed we all seem to romanticize travel even though the actual travel part is far from luxurious. So what's the real truth? We don't crave the luxury of travel, we crave the luxury of new perspectives. That's the aha moment that can inspire more universal story. That's my insight. And now this is super meta, because that's exactly why Amix Global Business Travel is sponsoring this video. Great ideas travel, their universal. And Amix GBT helps make the business travel part more smooth. So you can focus on finding those universal truths that will spark your next great idea.

The pink vs green art direction in Wicked is genius. - It represents the moral question of the film. - it forces audiences to choose sides, even when buying merch. CTA!! - it’s a scalable visual device that bridges languages globally. - and super simple to execute across mediums and channels for the hundreds of marketing partners that participated And the way our associations with those colors have changed over time makes the meaning even richer. Good isn’t always good. Wicked isn’t always wicked. What else have noticed about the art direction of @Wicked: For Good? @Universal Pictures #wickedforgood #artdirection

I’m realizing this conversation around AI is unavoidable, but is often either blind hype or total fear. No nuance. So I'd love to hear your thoughts: Where should AI belong in the creative process? Is it just another tool in the workflow… or is there a point where it crosses into territory that should stay human? I don’t want hot takes. I want real opinions. If you work in design, production, post-production, or anything from concept to creation, what’s the line you personally won’t cross? I’ll be in the comments with you. And yes, the humans at Adobe really are listening. #AdobePartner

Late night creative thoughts trying to articulate to myself what I value. Words are just words but they can really shift our perception. So I enjoy the process of interrogating the language we use, especially the definitions that represent creative principles. What do you think? Is your creative taste and your eye the same thing? Is one better?
