My husband has a girl best friend and I hate it. Story time, so my husband Steve has a best friend who will call Amy. And they have been friends their whole life. And in the past I've overheard my boyfriend say he owes Amy his life. Now he has told me that they got together once in high school but nothing else has ever happened. Now here's the thing, I have never ever really been Amy's biggest fan. But I would say that a real turning point for me is when Steve had Amy as his best woman at our wedding. And being completely honest I just feel like Amy is the definition of a pick me girl. And honestly I never ever thought I would be this girl but I have asked Steve to cut Amy out of his life. Multiple times. But Steve has said that he doesn't think that this is a necessary move. Things did get a little bit better last year when Amy got married. Thank God, but not gonna lie this relationship move pretty quick. Amy and Dave were married and pregnant within four months of dating. Now unfortunately for Amy the guy did up and leave the pregnancy. But it was also when Amy and Steve's relationship started to get a bit closer. Steve, aka my husband started taking Amy to all of her midwife appointments. Then next thing you know my guy is building the nursery. And then he even promised Amy that he would be there at the birth of the sodding child. So as I'm sure you can imagine I know have some pretty strong feelings towards Amy. So I told Steve about how I was feeling about Amy and he apologized and said as a sorry I'm gonna take your way for a nicer amount to get away. And he booked it for my birthday and said that this was gonna be like my celebrity day. We had this gorgeous hotel box and a nice expensive meal. But it just so happened that Amy went into labour six weeks early. At this point quite frankly I've had enough and I was like baby if you let this woman ruin my birth then we're gonna have an issue. And this is when Steve told me to grow up and stop being so childish. Steve told me he was gonna go to the hospital to be with Amy and I could either choose a friend to go with or go on my own. So of course I did let Steve go to be at the hospital with Amy but I told him not to bother coming home until he had a paternity test of that child. Now just a couple of add-ons about Amy. The reason Amy's husband left her was because she cheated on him. And if you're thinking why doesn't this girl have any like female friends to go to the birth of her child with her? It's because she doesn't have any friends because she gets with all of her friends boyfriends. And literally all my family and all of his family thinks that this baby is his baby. So naturally next week I'm going on my birthday celebration with Steve's mom. By the way Steve your mom actually said that she wishes I had been your child and not you.
