My friend called off his wedding and relationship because of me, Storytime, part two. So of course I was one of the people that Steve invited to the wedding. So the guest list was between like 170 and 200 people, but Steve was only allowed to invite 50. And at one point through the planning, Steve caused me an ask if we can talk. Steve asked me if I thought he was making a mistake. And my response was the only person that can answer that is you. I did tell him that you need to make sure this is exactly what you want and you need to get a prenup. Eventually, Steve told Amy she needed a prenup and she threw a fit. Now Amy called me a couple of times and asked me what I was wearing to her wedding. And she said because I'm in a wheelchair could I wear something a little bit more glamorous. Now here was the real kicker, the real punch and the gut. She said listen, our venue is so fancy. So do you think you could leave your wheelchair at home because it's going to ruin the vibe? Would you like me to crawl Amy? She said that if I bring my wheelchair it would make her wedding look tacky. Oh, she suggested I even get a new one and dull it with some jewels and lights and stuff. Now as I'm sure you can imagine I responded with a lot of colorful language. Should I tell her if this was an issue I would not be coming and she can decide whether she wants to tell Steve the real reason why. So now it's the beginning of May and the wedding is in a month or should I say was. One day Steve called me really really upset and it was about the wedding and I was like oh my god it's me. Apparently he had been told by two of the elders in his family one which uses a walker and one which uses a wheelchair that they would not be able to come. He told me that Amy had told him to tell them to lead their tacky, worn-down walking aids at home. She said that they need to leave it at home because she refused to have her glorious day ruined by that aesthetic. Asking me is one thing but asking his grandparents as a whole of the kettle of fish. I said her yeah that would be the reason I'm not coming either. So Steve then lost his mind. I've genuinely never seen this man so upset in my whole entire life. And a few days later I get a call from Amy telling me I'm the reason why she isn't no longer getting married. So a few days later Steve calls me and he explains that basically he lost his shit on her. Called her a psychopath and a bridezilla and said that he did not want to marry her anymore. Oh it's not the consequences of your own actions Amy. So what do you think of this situation? Was I wrong here? Should I have told Steve sooner or should I have just not gone and Shushed my mouth.
