My girlfriend called off his wedding because of me, Storytime. So I'm currently 37 and I'm in a wheelchair due to multiple health issues. And for context, I haven't walked since I was 13. So let me introduce you to Steve's ex, we'll call her Amy. In high school, me and Amy and Steve would also hang out a little bit, but she had a boyfriend. Can we just talk about that mask? So one night, we all went out in summer. And the officer woke me home so I wasn't on my own, which I thought was really nice. And I was not about to say no to Steve, right? I had the biggest crush on him. And when we got to my front door, Steve was like, "Sorry, can we just talk for a bit?" Yes! He starts off by telling me he doesn't want to hurt my feelings and definitely doesn't want to make me cry. So Steve let's talk about his little laugh and his like, "Listen, I have a kind of crush on you." But he never wanted to ruin our friendship with it. But now he was afraid that he was going to ruin the friendship anyway because of what he did and how everything happened. He says to me that he accidentally got a girlfriend. So I was like, "Who is your girlfriend?" And he just couldn't tell me. But after five minutes, he was like, "Listen, it's Amy." Now, I was a little bit thrown off here because Amy had a boyfriend last time I heard. So I was like, "Oh, okay, great. What happened to a boyfriend?" And this is when he told me that this was probably when I'd get mad. Steve started by setting he messed up. Steve! No! You're a good man! But oh my god, I was not prepared for what he was about to say. So Steve goes on to tell me that he had gone to a party which is quite normal for him and Amy was there and she ended up giving him a drink. Steve got hammered. One thing led to another and the next thing he remembers was waking up in a bed with Amy. Now here's where he threw the curveball at me. He said to me that after he left, he could not remember seeing a balloon, a used balloon, anywhere. And then a couple of days later, after this conversation, Amy rings Steve and tells him that she is three weeks pregnant. And she doesn't know if it is Steve's or her ex-boyfriends. Steve was like, "Listen, I've always liked you. It's a bit far off from what I'm used to." He said, "Let's date allow me to man up for what I did." Now, bear in mind, this is our last year of college. Steve had this massive dream of finishing golf school and then going to join the Navy. So having a kid was putting a little bit of his wrench in his plans. So Steve and Amy date for about six months when she supposedly lost the baby. Now, I say supposedly, but no one ever saw proof that she was pregnant. And a bunch of us kind of came to the conclusion that Amy was probably just trying to trap one of her ex or Steve. After we finished, Steve actually did end up going away and doing his dream. And once he was finished, he actually came running back to her. We are now 37. Anyway, when Steve came back, he ended up falling for Amy all over again and they dated and they genuinely seemed happy. And I was genuinely really, really excited for Steve. He had gotten married a few years ago and had two children. His wife then got really ill and passed away. After this, Steve's best friend found out that Steve's children were not here. She'd been cheating on him the whole time. And both the kids wanted to go be with their biological dads. But this is not a jealousy story. I actually had the opportunity to date Steve and I turned it down because I am with my boyfriend of 11 years. So this is where I may have ruined my friend's wedding. Like for part two.
