If I was struggling with my content like deep in the trenches of like 200 to 300 VGL I wanted a video to perform better, not necessarily to go viral, but just maybe a couple of thousand views. This is the one thing, the one thing that I would do. And I say one thing, it's actually two things wrapped into the one thing, but you'll understand what I mean in a second. First of all, you need to make sure that your video can be summarized in one single simple sentence. So for example, this video is about the five best shoe trends of 2026. This video is a meal idea that saves me every single week as a busy working mom of two. This video is about the one thing I did in my skincare routine that helped my skin go from A to B. If it can't be summed up in one single sentence, don't post it. Don't post that video because the more you have going on in the one piece of content, the higher the cognitive load for the person watching. There's too much for them to process, they're going to scroll away. But more importantly, when there's too many things going on, it makes it difficult for the algorithm to categorize your video and get it in front of the right people. It causes too much confusion. There is too much data too many signals. And once I know what my video is about, I am going to add a text title to the very start of the video that acts as a headline for this piece of content. So for example, it could be something like the five shoe trends that will dominate summer 2026, the 15 minute meal idea that saves me as a busy working mom of two. The one skincare ingredient that got rid of my cystic acne for good. When you're a small content creator that doesn't have a following yet, unless the start of your video is amazing. People are not going to waste a couple of seconds trying to figure out what your content is about. People need to know immediately. So when you have that text headline at the very start of the video, it does a lot of the heavy lifting. It gives people immediate context. So they can decide, is this for me? Should I keep watching this? And it helps the algorithm get it in front of the right people. You're making it absolutely clear by including keywords related to the topic that you're posting about time. This is not going to necessarily make your video go viral overnight, but it's going to help you slowly climb that view ladder up towards better performing videos. Simple, effective, and you'll notice I do this in every single video. I don't never do I stray from this.
