There are certain types of content that always work, they always have work, they always will work, they will survive any algorithm change, any platform update, they will survive the apocalypse because they tap into the way that humans process information. And while algorithms change, humans mostly don't. So I'll tell you what these are, you can screenshot this at the end and the next time you have an idea for a piece of content, you can put it into one of these formats and it's more likely to work, or you can take the one idea and put it into all of these formats to increase your iPad work smarter, not harder. So the first style is list videos, the internet basically runs on lists, you will notice a lot of my content is in a list format, this video is in a list format, how very meta. Whether it is three tips for this, five mistakes you're making for that, ten things you didn't know about this, people love a list because it creates structure and expectation, people know what they're gonna get from this and roughly how long it's gonna take to complete, and if it is predictable and the structure is there, they're gonna watch it until the very end. The next kind are stories, humans are connected by stories, so these will always work, but your story only works if you have a story arc. Need to start with a hook, have some context, move towards tension, have a climactic moment and then a resolution. Stories don't work because the story is good, it's because the structure is good, you're creating enough tension that people need to know how it ends. The next style is ranking things or reading things, so best ways to do this, the worst things to do for that, the most overrated ways to do this, the most underrated things for that. This works because it creates curiosity and disagreement at the same time, and disagreement is what creates engagement. The next style is transitions, transformations, and before and after videos, and these are incredibly powerful because people love processes, they love to be taken on a journey, whether it's a blow up or a transition of you making a piece of art, it's also usually very visually stimulating and satisfying to watch. The next type is myth-busting, and this works for a very interesting reason. Whenever you are taking a belief that your audience has and may be flipping it on a tent, the one thing you're getting wrong about this, a mistake you're making about that, it creates an immediate emotional reaction within the person watching, it creates a sense of fear or a threat to what they think they know, so it's really good for grabbing attention. And then for a similar reason is prediction videos, so whenever you're doing predictions of like, trans or anything like that, this works because it creates an emotional reaction, but instead that reaction is safety. You're giving people a sense of control over the future, and people love that. So next time you have an idea, take a screenshot of this, and use one of those for your next video.
