Overthinking isn’t depth. It’s a loop. And your brain is really good at loops. The default mode network replays the past and rehearses the future. It feels like problem-solving. It’s not. It’s mental cardio with zero forward movement. So here’s the shift. You don’t think your way out. You train your way out. Step one. Interrupt. Move your body. Change your environment. Cold water. Stand up. Walk. Shift state. This pulls activity out of the default mode network and into real-time sensory input. You stop narrating life and start experiencing it. Step two. Anchor. Drop into your body. Feel your hands. Feel your face. Feel your feet on the ground. This activates the insula. That’s your internal awareness system. When that turns on, mental noise turns down. Presence is not philosophical. It’s neurological. Step three. Direct. Give your brain a target. One action. Small. Clear. Done. Send the email. Clean one surface. Make one decision. Completion releases dopamine. Your brain rewards finished actions. Not perfect ones. So now instead of looping, your brain starts chasing completion. That’s how you build momentum. And momentum beats overthinking every time. Overthinking feels like control. It’s not. It’s stalled energy. What you do frequently becomes your frequency. So interrupt it. Anchor it. Direct it. Do that enough times and your brain learns a new way to operate. Here's a neuroscience hack to stop overthinking. You're gonna love this one. It's gonna get your brain out of the spin cycle. If you're new here, I'm Michael. I help you master your energy so you can upspiral your life. If you're into that, follow me and click the link in my bio. overthinking is not intelligence. It's repetition. It's your brain hitting replay and calling it progress. Specifically, your default mode network. That's the part of your brain that replays the past, rehearses the future and tells the same story on repeat. It's like the repeating movie loop of your life. And the more you play the same movie, the louder and more intense it gets. And you're not solving anything. You're just rehearsing anxiety. Here's how you solve it. Step one, interrupt the loop. You don't think your way out of overthinking. You move your way out. So stand up. Splash cold water on your face. Go for a walk. Because movement shifts activity out of your default mode network. So out of that looping movie, and into your motor and sensory networks. What that means is you just pulled your brain out of the overthinking worry loop and into reality. Step two, anchor your attention. Feel your hands. Feel your face and lips. Feel your feet. Lock those feelings in. Hands, face and lips and feet. You have more sensory neurons in your hands. Face and lips and feet than anywhere else in your body. And these powerfully activate the insula, which is the part of the brain that tracks internal sensation. And when the insula lights up, the mental noise turns down. You can't be fully present in your body and lost in your head at the same time. So pick one. Step three, give your brain a job. Overtaking is just energy with no direction. So give it direction. Simple, concrete and now. Send the email. Clean the space. Make one decision. Here's the important part. Completion releases dopamine, the reward chemical. And your brain is wired to reward finished actions. Not perfect ones, completed ones. So every time you complete something small, you get a hit of dopamine. And that signal tells your brain this direction matters. And now instead of looping, your brain starts seeking completion. And this recruits your prefrontal cortex, which is the part of your brain that gets things done. And it turns off your amygdala, which is the threat center that keeps your worry loop all fueled up and spinning. Here's the big takeaway. Overtaking feels like control, but it's not. It's just spinning your wheels and calling it progress. You don't need more thoughts. You need more contact with reality. So next time your brain starts spinning, don't argue with it. Interrupt it, anchor it and direct it. And if you do that often enough, what you do frequently becomes your frequency. And then instead of sending a frequency of overthinking and worry out into the universe, you send a frequency of purposeful confidence out into the universe. And the universe hears all frequencies as requests. And the answer to all requests is yes. So then it goes, oh, they must want more reasons to feel purposeful and confident. Well, here you go. That's just basic law of attraction. You got this. Follow me in comment, upspiral, and I'll send you some more information about my unique manifestation program. In that program, we give you tools based in neuroscience to put you back in control of your life. Follow me in comment, upspiral. Vibrant beings have a great day.

Here’s a neuroscience hack to stop negative thoughts fast. You’re not “a negative person.” Your brain is just running the wrong search. Your reticular activating system (RAS) filters reality based on what you’ve been rehearsing. Your default mode network (DMN) turns it into a story. Your amygdala decides if it’s a threat. Same loop. Different day. So when you keep replaying stress, irritation, or disappointment… your brain gets better at finding it. Not mindset fluff. Neural gating. Here’s the shift: Don’t fight the thought. Don’t force positivity. Change the search. Ask: “What’s actually working?” Then list simple things: “My car works.” “I ate today.” “That went better than usual.” Pause. Breathe. Let each one land. That’s how you update the filter. And once the filter changes… your reality starts organizing differently. Disarm negative emotions in under two minutes. If you can’t control your emotions… you can’t control your life. Because when anger spikes… when anxiety hits… when your chest tightens… That’s not you thinking. That’s your brain in survival mode. And when that switch flips… logic is gone. So here’s how to take your power back. Fast. Three steps. Backed by neuroscience. Step 1: Interrupt the signal Your amygdala is firing. That’s your threat detector. Press your tongue into the roof of your mouth. Hold 5 seconds. Release slowly. Repeat 3 times. This sends a safety signal through your nervous system. Step 2: Drop into the body Your thoughts fuel the fire. Your body is the exit. Feel your feet. Your hands. Your breath. This activates the insula and brings you back to the present. Step 3: Widen your perspective Emotion narrows your world. Look around. Name 5 objects. Notice 3 sounds. This re-engages your prefrontal cortex. That’s where clarity lives. You didn’t suppress anything. You regulated your system. And when your body calms down… your mind follows. Use this when you’re triggered. That’s how you build control. Because emotional mastery isn’t about feeling less. It’s about not getting hijacked. Here’s a scientific method to stop being angry. Not suppress it. Not pretend it’s not there. Actually stop it from running your life. Anger isn’t bad. It’s just energy without a job. But when you stay in it? You flood your body with cortisol, hijack your thinking, and stay stuck in fight mode. You’re not solving anything. You’re just burning fuel. So here’s the reset: Step 1: Name it. “This is anger. A part of me is angry.” That simple move shifts activity out of your survival brain and into your thinking brain. Step 2: Calm the body. Cold water on your face or an ice cube across your cheeks. You activate your vagus nerve, which tells your system you’re safe. Step 3: Move it. Walk. Shake it out. Do squats. Give that energy somewhere to go so it doesn’t stay trapped in your body. Powerful people don’t sit in anger. They use it. Because if you don’t control your anger… your anger controls you. And that shapes your entire life. Here’s the number one green flag you’re going to be wealthy. And no… it’s not being nice. The universe doesn’t reward morality. It responds to frequency. That’s the part most people miss. You can be kind, generous, and a genuinely good person… and still be broadcasting anxiety, doubt, and internal chaos. And guess what the universe hears? Not your intentions. Your signal. Meanwhile, someone with certainty, clarity, and self-belief? They’re sending a clean signal. And reality organizes around that. That’s why you’ll see “good people” stuck… and confident people winning. It’s not about deserving. It’s about alignment. So yes—be a good human. But don’t confuse that with manifestation. Your results come from what you’re embodying… not what you believe you deserve. Shift your frequency. That’s the power move.
