There's a reason you can't think straight when you're pissed off. You ever noticed that when you're angry how your IQ drops like 40 points? Like you know you're smarter than what's coming out of your mouth. But in that moment, boo, gone. Here's why, when you get pissed off, your brain flags something as a threat. Not annoying, not inconvenient, a threat. Your amygdala lights up, that's your brain's fighter flight center, and it pulls the fire alarm. And when that happens, your prefrontal cortex, which is the part of your brain that does logic and creativity and good decisions, it goes totally offline. Not turned down a little bit, it goes offline. So now technically you're not thinking, you're reacting, it's like a reflex. Your body's tight and your thoughts get simple. Black and white, right or wrong, winner lose, and that is not clarity that's called survival mode. It's the fighter flight response pretending to be certainty. And here's the thing, the more you rehearse that state of anger, the faster your brain gets that shutting down your prefrontal cortex, shutting down your thinking. So when you perpetually allow yourself to get angry, you're training yourself to become reactive. And that's how a bad mood becomes a personality. So the next time you feel that surge of anger and annoyance, don't trust your conclusions in that moment. Say this to yourself, this isn't clarity, this is a part of my brain trying to protect me. Naming an emotion like this out loud is called affect labeling, and it quickly turns off the amygdala and turns on the prefrontal cortex. So name it out loud and breathe and give it a few seconds. Because the moment your body settles, your intelligence comes back online. So the question is, how many decisions have you made while you were temporarily offline? Follow me and comment the word upspiral, and I'll send you some more information about my unique manifestation program. In that program, we give you tools based in neuroscience that put you back in charge of your life. Follow me and comment the word upspiral. Vibrant beings, have a great day.

Worry feels productive. It’s not. It’s training your brain to expect problems, weakening your decision-making, and locking you into stress loops. Your nervous system doesn’t know the difference between imagined danger and real danger. So every “what if” becomes a rehearsal. Shift the pattern. Train your brain on purpose. Comment “brain” if you’re done letting worry run the show. #neuroscience #anxietyrelief #mindsetshift #manifestation #nervoussystem

Most addictive substance in the world? Not alcohol. Not nicotine. Not drugs. It’s your own emotions. Stress, worry, anxiety… they come with a chemical payoff. And your body gets hooked. Cortisol and adrenaline create intensity. Your brain reads that as important. So you replay, overthink, and loop. Then it becomes familiar. And what’s familiar feels safe… even when it hurts. Over time, stress chemistry blunts dopamine. So normal life feels flat. And you need more intensity just to feel something. That’s the loop. Break it in 60 seconds. Name it. Breathe slow. Feel your hands. Shift out of the story… and back into your body. Because the emotion isn’t the problem. The addiction to the chemistry is. #StressRelief #anxietyhelp #nervoussystem #mentalhealthtools #emotionalregulation

Here’s the truth about anger nobody tells you: It doesn’t make you powerful… it makes you predictable. Every time you stay angry, your brain literally shifts into survival mode—less clarity, less control, more reactivity. The good news? You can interrupt that loop. This is how you take your power back—neurologically, not just mentally. Follow me and comment upspiral and I’ll send you more about how to retrain your brain for real control. #anger #emotionalintelligence #neuroscience #selfmastery #mindsetshift
