If you care too much what other people think, you’re not insecure. Your brain is trying to keep you alive. Your nervous system is wired for belonging. For most of human history, rejection meant danger. So your brain constantly scans for approval. But here’s the problem. You’re overestimating how much people are actually thinking about you. It’s called the spotlight effect. Everyone is too busy thinking about themselves to analyze you the way you think they are. So when you catch yourself wondering what they think… Flip it. What do I think about me right now? That’s where your power is. You don’t stop caring what people think. You stop outsourcing your identity to them. Click the link in my bio to join my manifestation program and learn how to build real internal confidence from the inside out. And comment UpSpiral if you want more tools like this. #selfconfidence #psychology #neuroscience #peoplepleasing #personalgrowth

Here's a psychology trick to stop caring what other people think. This one's going to free you from constantly caring about other people's opinions. If you're new here on Michael, I help you master your energy so you can upspiral your life. If you're into that, follow me and click the link in my bio. If you find yourself caring what other people think, you're not weak. Your brain is doing exactly what it was designed to do. Here's what's actually happening. Your brain treats social rejection like physical pain. It's the same brain circuits. Because for most of human history, being rejected by the group meant you didn't survive. So it's hard wired into you to care what other people think, and your nervous system is constantly scanning. Am I safe here? Do they approve of me? Am I about to get pushed out? That's not in security. That's survival wiring. But here's where it goes sideways. Your brain starts overestimating how much people are actually thinking about you. There's even a name for it. It's called the spotlight effect. You think everyone's watching you, but they're not. They're too busy thinking about themselves. So here's how you break it. Step one, catch the moment you start thinking, "What are they thinking about me?" And replace it with, "What am I thinking about me right now?" That flips you out of external validation, and back into self-leadership. Step two, assume people are projecting, not evaluating. When someone judges you, they're not seeing you clearly. They're filtering you through their own fears, beliefs, and insecurities. So their opinion isn't the truth. Step three, do one small thing that risks disapproval on purpose. Post the thing, say the honest answer. Where the thing that you like. Because your nervous system learns through exposure, not theory. And every time you survive being seen, your brain updates. It learns, "I'm safe, even if not everyone approves." Here's the shift that happens. You don't stop caring what people think, but you do stop outsourcing your identity to them. And the moment you do that, you don't just feel freer. You actually become more powerful inside your own life. And that's when your life starts to upspiral. Write upspiral in the comments to remember all this in your body. Upspiral in the comments. Like the video, follow me, and click the link in my bio. I'm enrolling my unique program in manifestation right now. And I want to meet you inside that program. Vibrant beings have a great day.

Worry feels productive. It’s not. It’s training your brain to expect problems, weakening your decision-making, and locking you into stress loops. Your nervous system doesn’t know the difference between imagined danger and real danger. So every “what if” becomes a rehearsal. Shift the pattern. Train your brain on purpose. Most addictive substance in the world? Not alcohol. Not nicotine. Not drugs. It’s your own emotions. Stress, worry, anxiety… they come with a chemical payoff. And your body gets hooked. Cortisol and adrenaline create intensity. Your brain reads that as important. So you replay, overthink, and loop. Then it becomes familiar. And what’s familiar feels safe… even when it hurts. Over time, stress chemistry blunts dopamine. So normal life feels flat. And you need more intensity just to feel something. That’s the loop. Break it in 60 seconds. Name it. Breathe slow. Feel your hands. Shift out of the story… and back into your body. Because the emotion isn’t the problem. The addiction to the chemistry is. #StressRelief #anxietyhelp #nervoussystem #mentalhealthtools #emotionalregulation

Here’s the truth about anger nobody tells you: It doesn’t make you powerful… it makes you predictable. Every time you stay angry, your brain literally shifts into survival mode—less clarity, less control, more reactivity. The good news? You can interrupt that loop. This is how you take your power back—neurologically, not just mentally. Follow me and comment upspiral and I’ll send you more about how to retrain your brain for real control. #anger #emotionalintelligence #neuroscience #selfmastery #mindsetshift
