If I were you, I would really focus on making my content shareable. Shares on reposts have always been important on all platforms, Instagram on TikTok, and it makes sense, right? Because when you share a piece of content, you're essentially signaling this is worth spreading to my network and beyond. But recently, Instagram have told us just how important shareability is. It recently updated insights on reals to tell you what impact your views in order from most to least important. And look up what's that number two. It's your share rate. So how do you make your content shareable? Well, it all comes down to one thing, and that is social currency. People don't share content because it's good. They share it when it makes them look good. There are five types of social currency. And if you tap into any of these with your content, people are going to spread it like they're throwing confetti in the street. The first type is identity currency. And this is any content that makes people go, "Oh my God, that is so me." So it's any kind of reliable struggles or niche experiences. You know you're a dairy farmer when, or if you've had a breakup over the age of 30, this is for you. People are sharing to basically signal to others, this is my life. The next one is status currency. Any kind of content that makes somebody look smart or competent or evolved. So it's going to be insights like only one percent of people understand this or most people in this group are getting this wrong. Any kind of contrarian text as well. People are essentially sharing this content to tell others, "I am smarter than most other people." Then we have emotional currency. And this is when your content makes people feel something and they want others to feel it too. This could be inspiration, it could be motivation, validation, but also could be anger as well. Then the next type is entertainment currency. And this is any kind of funny content. People love to share things that are funny because humor is a shared language. But also, when you share something funny to your friends, you're telling them, "Look at, I have a really good sense of humor." And then finally, we have utility currency. So if your content gives people helpful tips, usually stuff that people can use immediately, maybe a good recommendation, a hack or something like that, that's more easy to spread. I definitely noticed personally that whenever I give people quick and easy content ideas, they tend to get shared a lot more of them videos like this to earn a bit more in-depth. And if you want to learn more all about this stuff, this is what I teach in the content club, which is my course on community for content creators. I talk a lot about how to get people to react to your content. If you want in, you can use the discount code grow2026.
