My goal, digging mum called my fiancé cheap and stingy. Story time. So my fiancé Steve recently proposed to me. It was literally so romantic, like the perfect proposal. We knew from like the first few weeks that we would end up spending the rest of our life together. But there is just one little issue. The first time my mum met Steve, she turned around to me and was like, "I thought you said he was well off." She was looking at his car. She goes, "That car is a load of rubbish." What you should know about Steve is he is a car guy. He owns a hell of a lot of money and he buys cars. But he decided to just pick a comfortable car that day because he didn't want to seem showy offy. So Steve did not react at all. He actually became way more polite. So we actually had dinner about night and my mum the whole time kept commenting on how Steve's looks when it's strong point. And it was really fucking us off. Soon as we got in that car, I could not stop apologising. He was so understanding. He said, "I know that your mum's words aren't a reflection on you." Now I was hoping that this would kind of be like an intimidation tactic from my mum, but then hell. Every single time we went over, my mum would dig Steve. She would say, "Every single time we went over, that my daughter's only dating you for your money, she doesn't actually like you because you don't have a personality." And after several months actually turning to Steve and my mum getting into arguments. One time he turned around and was like, "I got burnt all of my money and your daughter would still love me." Anyway, so last month Steve proposed when we were in Switzerland. It was such a romantic way. It was literally perfection. We were watching the sunset over the mountain that he got down on one knee. We'd previously spoken about what type of ring I would like. And when I tell you this boy, he nailed it. Like the ring was an exact match of what I last for. We literally spent the rest of the trip talking about our future together and how excited we were planning our life. When we got home, I just wanted to tell everyone I wanted to tell my mum, I wanted to tell my dad, I wanted to tell all my friends, I wanted to tell the world. So I showed them they were really complimentary. They seemed really happy for me. I'd started looking into dresses. And then literally out of nowhere my mum posted this really disgusting thing on Facebook. She said that my wedding ring was disgraceful. She said it probably cost less than her entire wardrobe altogether. She said it was tacky. She said that the diamond looked like a small stone that he just picked up off the ground. She went on saying that my partner was a cheap man and that he never did anything nice for me. She said how he just spends all of his money on himself and spends nothing on his girl. So after this, we decided that my mum would not be coming to our wedding. We actually got married last week in a ceremony with just me and Steve. And it was literally perfect.
