It's weird how depression doesn't feel like it used to anymore. Like before, it was obvious I could feel it. I could cry, I could break down, and at least I knew something inside me was reacting. And now, it's just this quiet, empty version of it, where nothing really comes out. Like, I know something is wrong. I feel it somewhere deep, but I can't reach it. I can't cry. And you start doing dumb things just to get a reaction. Like, replaying memories or making things worse in your head, hoping something will finally hit, but it doesn't. And you just sit there, stuck. Because it's not that you're okay. It's that you don't even know how to feel it anymore. And that's what messes with me. Because before I understood my sadness, I knew what it was. I could let it out and breathe after. But now there's no release, no clear feeling, just this constant numb weight, and I hate it. Because I miss something as simple as crying. I miss knowing that I'm actually affected by things. And now, even when something real happens, I just go quiet. Like, my brain shuts everything down. And you start questioning yourself. Like, did I stop caring? Or did something inside me just stop working? And I don't even know how to fix it anymore.
