Do you have gastritis AND a hiatal hernia? Seeing these two together is actually super common. Think about it, if your stomach is inflamed, swollen, bloated, you have constipation, and you have extra body fat around the abdomen.. this can cause the stomach to get pushed up past your diaphragm. This is also why people with gastritis have a lot of acid reflux. If you can get your inflammation down, have regular bowel movements everyday, and have less fat around the stomach, this will significantly help with getting rid of your hiatal hernia or making it smaller. • #hiatalhernia #gastritis #reflux #gerd #stomachproblems

Usually when somebody has gastritis, it's also coupled with having a high edal hernia. Whenever I would bend over, bend down, lift something really heavy, that's whenever my stomach would really hurt in this area right here. And if I was going through a flare-up, usually my stomach would get really bloated and distended, and that would make my high edal hernia even worse. When somebody has a high edal hernia, it's basically part of your stomach is pushed up past your diaphragm into your esophagus where it's not supposed to be, and when it's there, you'll get more symptoms of acid reflux. And the only reason why that would happen that part of your stomach would go past your diaphragm into your esophagus is if somebody is overweight or there's just a lot of pressure and bloating that's pushing the stomach up. Now if there's no sort of pressure or bloating or gas pushing the stomach up or like fat pushing the stomach up, then you'll most likely get rid of your high edal hernia. So that's what happened to me whenever I got my gastritis symptoms under control, and I was able to consistently use the restroom every single day. I was able to get my bloating down. Once that bloating went away, I knew that my high edal hernia would go away because there was nothing to push my stomach up past my diaphragm. And so if you're somebody that's struggling to get rid of your high edal hernia, I would look at two things. One, are you using the restroom every day because if you're not, then you will be chronically constipated all the time and that constipation can cause a lot of gas and pressure. And second, are you doing everything that you know you're supposed to be doing to heal your gastritis because if your stomach isn't inflamed and you are getting flare ups anymore, then again, your stomach isn't going to be as bloated to cause that pressure in your stomach. And then I guess there is a third thing if you are obese or overweight and you have extra fat in this area, if you are able to lose a little bit of weight, that can also help get rid of your high edal hernia.

Here’s my results of my second endoscopy! Do I still have gastritis? This just shows what everyone says is true, you can still have some form of gastritis even if you don’t have the main symtpoms of it like severe stomach pain. This is why you should continue to eat your strict diet for 6 months- 1 year as it takes a long time for our stomachs to heal. I eat around 2,000 calories a day now, no stomach pain, but my stomach is slightly inflammed. Like I said in the video, I honestly think my gastritis healed but my stomach has gotten a little inflammed again from the bile acid that I now have and this is what’s actually causing the slight inflammation. I will continue to eat my diet for another 3 months and figure out how to balance everything in my gut. I hope my story can help some of you and your journey to recovery as I’m still trying to fight through this as well with all of you.
