I've been fully healed from gastritis for over a year now. I just wanted to update y'all on what life has been like since healing my gastritis because I still get a lot of questions on like if I'm actually fully healed. Do I still get flare-ups? Do I still have some symptoms of gastritis? And I went to let y'all know I have not had a flare-up from gastritis since 2024. I will say it did take me a while to get out of my comfort zone to try new foods I dealt with food anxiety for a really long time. But at this point in time, I can look at a meal and nothing comes to my mind wondering will this trigger my symptoms? Will this give me a flare-up? Will this give me gastritis again? And that is a really good feeling but again it did take quite a few months to get to where I am. I also don't have gird anymore. I was dealing with acid reflux for a really long time after trying to get off my PPI. And so now I can eat like garlic and onion. I can have caffeine, chocolate, acidic foods, spicy foods. Another question that I get a lot is can you drink now? Because I feel like out of all the foods and stuff that we can eat, one of the most scariest things that you can bring back into your life after healing gird and gastritis is alcohol because it's like the worst thing that you could probably put in your body. I do drink alcohol now. I didn't drink alcohol at all for like a full year after healing my gastritis and I just really wanted to make sure that my body was doing really good before I started trying alcohol again. I do still kind of get scared about drinking too much. The most I have like ever drink in is like maybe one margarita or a mixed drink. I've had like half a shot instead of taking a full shot like at a New Year's party. But sometimes I still think I have a tiny bit of anxiety when it comes to drinking alcohol. Because sometimes I do worry that it might give me acid reflux or what if it does spark something in my stomach and really irritate it and then cause something. One thing that I do still deal with that I've shared on my channel is constipation. Like my bowel movements have not been the same since healing my gastritis. I do have to take extra steps to help myself use the restroom every day and I will say I'm not perfect. I do not there are weeks I do not use the restroom every day. But I really try to push towards that goal of using the restroom every day because keeping things moving will prevent backups. And once you have a backup of stool in your colon it just cascades into a lot of other problems. But again I do have to do extra steps than the normal person has to to make sure that I do that. I dealt with low ferritin before I had gastritis. I've had low ferritin for a really long time. When I got gastritis I didn't have low ferritin anymore because I lost my period so I wasn't bleeding a lot. Now that I've healed my gastritis and I've had a period for six consecutive months I've noticed my ferritin has went down a lot. I got blood work done and it's not at the optimal level that I want it to be. That is something that I am dealing with now. I'm going to be sharing my journey on how I plan to get to the root cause of why I've always dealt with low ferritin because I don't just want to take a supplement like I used to in the past to get my ferritin levels up. I want to get to the root cause this time. If there's any other questions you all want to know about my life now after healing gastritis let me know in the comments below because I know asking somebody these sort of questions somebody that's healed from gastritis can be very helpful in encouraging to push through your diet and stay on track and to be positive and just know that I can get there one day.

Here’s my results of my second endoscopy! Do I still have gastritis? This just shows what everyone says is true, you can still have some form of gastritis even if you don’t have the main symtpoms of it like severe stomach pain. This is why you should continue to eat your strict diet for 6 months- 1 year as it takes a long time for our stomachs to heal. I eat around 2,000 calories a day now, no stomach pain, but my stomach is slightly inflammed. Like I said in the video, I honestly think my gastritis healed but my stomach has gotten a little inflammed again from the bile acid that I now have and this is what’s actually causing the slight inflammation. I will continue to eat my diet for another 3 months and figure out how to balance everything in my gut. I hope my story can help some of you and your journey to recovery as I’m still trying to fight through this as well with all of you. Thank you for watching 🩷 #gastritis #gastritisdiet #endoscopy #endoscopyjourney #endoscopyresults

Does anyone else deal with this? Instead of a burning chest pain feeling, it’s more of a throbbing, sharp, prickly feeling? #esophagealhypersensitivity #chestpain #acidreflux #gerd #esophagus

I can eat SO MUCH MORE protein now compared to a couple weeks ago so I know this has helped me a lot! • Symtopms I had that lead me to believe I have low stomach acid: - undigested food in stool - bloating - feeling very full after meals with a lot of meat protein (especially red meat) - acid reflux - fullness in stomach (right under diaphragm area) - feels like a lot of food is still sitting in your stomach hours after eating - constipation - slow gut motility • #lowstomachacid #acidreflux #stomachissues #stomachproblems #bloating #digestion #increasestomachacid
