Don't make these three mistakes if you're dealing with gastritis. The first one is having a cheat meal within the first three months of healing. This is the time that you want to be the most strict with what you're eating. That means just focusing on low acidic cold foods. Something that really helped me during this time is basically getting all the junk food out of your pantry and fridge. Give it away, throw it away, then you're just going to be more tempted to eat those unhealthy foods. Once you've followed a low acidic cold foods diet for at least three months, then you can slowly start to reintroduce other foods. Second thing is not eating food for more than three hours. So you really don't want to skip meals. Once you go so many hours without eating, that leaves the stomach acid in direct contact with your stomach lining. And you don't want that if your stomach is trying to heal. This is just going to cause more irritation, more inflammation. So make sure you have a strict eating schedule that you're following every single day so that you don't go several hours without eating. And the third thing is eating very large meals all at once. Remember our stomach is very sensitive. The last thing you want to do is be putting a whole bunch of food in your stomach all at once and then you get very bloated and you're in pain. All this food is just going to rub against the walls and it's just going to take longer for it to heal. So break up each of your meals into two small meals so that you're eating six times a day. Here’s my results of my second endoscopy! Do I still have gastritis? This just shows what everyone says is true, you can still have some form of gastritis even if you don’t have the main symtpoms of it like severe stomach pain. This is why you should continue to eat your strict diet for 6 months- 1 year as it takes a long time for our stomachs to heal. I eat around 2,000 calories a day now, no stomach pain, but my stomach is slightly inflammed. Like I said in the video, I honestly think my gastritis healed but my stomach has gotten a little inflammed again from the bile acid that I now have and this is what’s actually causing the slight inflammation. I will continue to eat my diet for another 3 months and figure out how to balance everything in my gut. I hope my story can help some of you and your journey to recovery as I’m still trying to fight through this as well with all of you. I can eat SO MUCH MORE protein now compared to a couple weeks ago so I know this has helped me a lot! • Symtopms I had that lead me to believe I have low stomach acid: - undigested food in stool - bloating - feeling very full after meals with a lot of meat protein (especially red meat) - acid reflux - fullness in stomach (right under diaphragm area) - feels like a lot of food is still sitting in your stomach hours after eating - constipation - slow gut motility • #lowstomachacid #acidreflux #stomachissues #stomachproblems #bloating #digestion #increasestomachacid
