Gastritis and Hiatal Hernias are best friends unfortunately. Once I healed my gastritis, I also got rid of my hiatal hernia because I didn’t have as much bloating, pressure, and gas anymore. If you also have a hiatal hernia paired with gastritis, just know it’s possible to get rid of both! #hiatalhernia #reflux #acidreflux #howtogetridofhiatalhernia

Because I had a hiatal hernia, my doctor told me that I was going to live with acid reflux for the rest of my life and that there is no way that I could get rid of the hiatal hernia unless I had surgery. And I just remember leaving the doctor's office, going to my car and crying my eyes out, thinking I was going to have to live with it for the rest of my life and take a PPI for the rest of my life. Well, did I know I would be where I am today with no hiatal hernia and my gastritis healed? A hiatal hernia is whenever part of your stomach gets pushed past your diaphragm up into your esophagus. And it should not be there. And if it is, you'll get symptoms of acid reflux, chest pain. Now, what would cause part of your stomach to go up past your diaphragm into your esophagus? Our stomachs are not just going to randomly get pushed up past our diaphragm into our esophagus randomly without the help of anything. There's a few reasons why somebody could have a hiatal hernia and for me is because I had gastritis and my stomach was very inflamed and bloated. I also had a lot of gas in that area and pressure because I was also constipated due to my gastritis. Now, there's some people that are overweight or obese and because they have more fat tissue around that area, that will also push your stomach up past your diaphragm into your esophagus. Remember my doctor telling me that I was going to have to take this PPI for the rest of my life and that I couldn't enjoy the same foods that I wanted every single day. I just felt really defeated. I know there's probably other people out there that have experienced the same situation because I've seen three different GI doctors and they all told me the same thing because I had a hiatal hernia. Even though I left that appointment feeling defeated and very sad and depressed, after I collected myself, I just knew I wasn't going to take that as an answer. But once I figured out that a lot of people that have gastritis also have hiatal hernias and acid reflux and I tried to figure out why is that. And again, that's because we have just so much inflammation, gas and pressure in our stomach. And so I thought, well, maybe once I heal my gastritis, that inflammation will go down. My gas and bloating will go down and then my hiatal hernia would go away. And so that's what I did. I healed my gastritis. I did a strict low acidic whole foods diet for three months. And by the end of three months, my symptoms were all gone. My inflammation was down. My bloating was down and my acid reflux wasn't as bad. And so I know some people will say, oh, you have a sliding hiatal hernia. Well, that could possibly be true, but I also don't have as much inflammation, bloating, gas, and stomach distinction as I did before. And again, you need those sort of symptoms to have something to actually push your stomach, pass your diaphragm into your stomach. And I'm not an overweight or obese person. I know a lot of people here that follow me have gastritis and they also have a hiatal hernia because the two always come hand in hand. And if your doctor told you the same thing that you can't get rid of your hiatal hernia, do your research. Sometimes that's actually not always the case. So get discouraged. There are ways to get rid of pineal hernias and heal naturally.

Here’s my results of my second endoscopy! Do I still have gastritis? This just shows what everyone says is true, you can still have some form of gastritis even if you don’t have the main symtpoms of it like severe stomach pain. This is why you should continue to eat your strict diet for 6 months- 1 year as it takes a long time for our stomachs to heal. I eat around 2,000 calories a day now, no stomach pain, but my stomach is slightly inflammed. Like I said in the video, I honestly think my gastritis healed but my stomach has gotten a little inflammed again from the bile acid that I now have and this is what’s actually causing the slight inflammation. I will continue to eat my diet for another 3 months and figure out how to balance everything in my gut. I hope my story can help some of you and your journey to recovery as I’m still trying to fight through this as well with all of you.
