If you have gastritis, here's a list of foods you need to stop eating. So you'll have to stop eating foods with the pH lower than 5. This includes foods like acidic fruit. So that will be kiwis, pineapple, apples, strawberries, tomatoes. You'll actually have to stop eating coffee because coffee is also acidic and chocolate. And even condiments because a lot of condiments are vinegar-based. You'll also have to stop eating red meat because red meat is actually a lot harder to digest because of its fibers compared to chicken and turkey, salmon, eggs. You'll also have to stop drinking alcohol. And I don't think I have to explain myself on this one. But stop drinking alcohol if you're still drinking it. Even if you feel like you're almost healed or not sure if you're healed, I would just stay away from drinking alcohol for at least a year or two because that's one of the worst things you could do for your gut. You'll also have to stop drinking carbonated drinks. Carbonated drinks can cause a lot of gas and bloating. And this puts pressure on your lower soffigil sphincter and can cause reflux. And if you have gastritis, you most likely deal with acid reflux. You also have to stay away from any caffeinated drinks because it can relax your lower soffigil sphincter, causing more reflux. And caffeine can also increase your cortisol levels, which increase stress. And you definitely don't want to be stressed because stress can interfere with the healing of your gut. You'll also have to give up spicy food. Spicy food is obviously very irritating to the stomach lining. So stay away from spicy food. And yes, that even includes black pepper. Also have to stay away from greasy fried food. These kinds of foods are really high in fat and just really heavy on the stomach. It's a lot harder to digest these kinds of food. It's actually really important in the first few weeks of trying to kill your gastritis to eat low fat meals so that your stomach doesn't have to do so much work with breaking down that fat. Also can't have garlic and onion. I feel like this is really hard for a lot of people to cut out because garlic and onion is the base for a lot of meals and soups. And it's in a lot of prepackaged foods. So it's really hard to find things at the grocery store that doesn't have garlic and onion. But garlic and onion can irritate your stomach lining and it can also loosen your lower soffigil sphincter and return causing acid reflux. It did make a handout that lists all the foods you should be avoiding and foods that you can have on the gastritis diet. It's in the link in my bio and you can download it for free.

Here’s my results of my second endoscopy! Do I still have gastritis? This just shows what everyone says is true, you can still have some form of gastritis even if you don’t have the main symtpoms of it like severe stomach pain. This is why you should continue to eat your strict diet for 6 months- 1 year as it takes a long time for our stomachs to heal. I eat around 2,000 calories a day now, no stomach pain, but my stomach is slightly inflammed. Like I said in the video, I honestly think my gastritis healed but my stomach has gotten a little inflammed again from the bile acid that I now have and this is what’s actually causing the slight inflammation. I will continue to eat my diet for another 3 months and figure out how to balance everything in my gut. I hope my story can help some of you and your journey to recovery as I’m still trying to fight through this as well with all of you.
