If you're dealing with a gastritis flare up here's five helpful tips that you should start doing to help calm your symptoms down. So the first tip is eating really soft bland food and that to look like oatmeal, soft sweet potato, smoothies, fruits like banana, papaya and obviously you can have soups that have potatoes, soft vegetables like carrots, squash. You can even blend the soup so that it's easy to digest and you don't have to do much chewing. Basically eating foods that are going to put less work in your stomach. When it comes to protein, if you can handle protein, they definitely keep eating protein. Some easier to eat protein is going to be your fish and eggs. Proteins like chicken and turkey might be a little harder to digest wire in the middle of a flare up. And the second tip is to make sure that you're eating small frequent meals and to also be leading three hours in between meals so that you're giving your stomach time to digest the food and relax. And then the third tip is to make sure you're staying very hydrated. So a good way to do this is right when you wake up in the morning, drink a cup of warm bone broth. I also like to mix my chamomile tea with some slippery elm powder and I would usually drink that between an hour and 30 minutes before my breakfast or lunch. Slippery elm powder creates this like gel texture so whenever you drink it it coats your esophagus and your stomach lining and can help with irritation and any inflammation that's going on at the moment. And then of course mixed with the chamomile tea is just very calming and soothing. Also drink a lot of coconut water. If you don't like the taste of coconut water, try blending it with some watermelon and make like a smoothie or a refresher. It's so good and it's an easy way to get in a lot of electrolytes. And then the fourth tip is to take time to de-stress and relax. This means going to bed early, staying off your phone an hour before you go to bed, practicing breath work, thinking positive things like I will get better soon. This flare up is only temporary. I know it can feel kind of discouraging when you get a flare up and you've been doing so good at eating all the right food and now you're stressed because you got a flare up and you feel like it's messed up all your hard work but I promise you this didn't mess up all your hard work. When I had gastritis, I had several flare ups but I still continued to follow my diet and I still healed my gastritis. So just please be kind to yourself the more you stress that could actually make your flare up last longer. And then the fifth tip would be to start tracking your triggers. So when did your symptoms start? What did you eat that day and what did you even eat the day before? When our flare ups are food related, it could be something that we ate that day or it could even be something we ate a day before or two days before. Flare ups aren't only food related, they can be stress related so it's also good to track what were you doing that day? Were you stressed? Were you anxious? Were you angry? Track down what you were feeling and what you were going through that day as well. If you have any other helpful tips that you do during a gastritis flare up that helps you leave a comment down below and if you like this video don't forget to follow me as I post a lot of helpful videos for people dealing with gastritis.

Here’s 3 things I would NOT do if I just found out I had gastritis and trying to heal. #gastritistips #gastritis #howtohealgastritis #tipsforgastritis #healgastritisnaturally

Here’s my results of my second endoscopy! Do I still have gastritis? This just shows what everyone says is true, you can still have some form of gastritis even if you don’t have the main symtpoms of it like severe stomach pain. This is why you should continue to eat your strict diet for 6 months- 1 year as it takes a long time for our stomachs to heal. I eat around 2,000 calories a day now, no stomach pain, but my stomach is slightly inflammed. Like I said in the video, I honestly think my gastritis healed but my stomach has gotten a little inflammed again from the bile acid that I now have and this is what’s actually causing the slight inflammation. I will continue to eat my diet for another 3 months and figure out how to balance everything in my gut. I hope my story can help some of you and your journey to recovery as I’m still trying to fight through this as well with all of you.
