Here's some foods that you should probably not be eating if you have gastritis starting off with garlic and onion. This is probably the hardest thing that I had to give up when I had gastritis because it's literally and everything. Second thing would be red meat. Red meat is just a lot harder to digest because of its connective tissue and fibers that are really tight and just really hard to break down. The next thing would be really greasy fatty foods. So pizza, bacon, butter, burgers, any fast food. That fat in those foods will just make your stomach hurt a lot. Also can't have citrus foods so think of pineapple, lemon, lime, even salad dressings because they have apple cider vinegar or balsamic vinegar. Even foods with citric acid. This was another hard one for me by giving up spicy foods. Spicy foods, spicy seasonings are just very irritating to the stomach lining. And then we also can't have caffeine. Caffeine can loosen the lower self-adjusted sphincter and then we also can't have carbonated beverages because they can cause a lot of bloating. We also can't have a lot of refined added sugar so think of pastries, desserts, even chocolate because chocolate is acidic. And then the very last thing I really don't have to explain myself for this one.

Here’s my results of my second endoscopy! Do I still have gastritis? This just shows what everyone says is true, you can still have some form of gastritis even if you don’t have the main symtpoms of it like severe stomach pain. This is why you should continue to eat your strict diet for 6 months- 1 year as it takes a long time for our stomachs to heal. I eat around 2,000 calories a day now, no stomach pain, but my stomach is slightly inflammed. Like I said in the video, I honestly think my gastritis healed but my stomach has gotten a little inflammed again from the bile acid that I now have and this is what’s actually causing the slight inflammation. I will continue to eat my diet for another 3 months and figure out how to balance everything in my gut. I hope my story can help some of you and your journey to recovery as I’m still trying to fight through this as well with all of you.
