We don’t hide our work from our kids. They hear about it, they see it. Sometimes they even sit in on the hard conversations and roleplay them with us. Not because they need to know everything, but because it builds their skill set. Work isn’t something to suffer through. It’s a tool to create the life you want. Kids aren’t a distraction. They’re usually just interested in what you’re building. This isn’t work-life balance. It’s work-life education. And I didn’t learn everything I needed from school. Neither will they. What lessons about work are your kids already watching you teach? #ParentingAndBusiness #ModernParenting #LifeSkills

We don't think it's a great idea to hide your work from your children, we certainly don't, we let them hear about it, we let them see it, we even let them in on our hard conversations from time to time and roleplay with them on those hard conversations sometimes as well because it just helps them build their skill set and we want them to know that work is not a burden that you've got to slave away at for years and years or decades or something that you can't enjoy. Work is simply a tool to get other things that you want in your life so when it comes to work, kids can at times feel like a distraction but they're only a distraction because they're actually interested in what you're doing and what you're building so it seems to both jade myself that is a great opportunity to to share and to show them and teach them that it's not work-life balance but this is work-life education because I certainly didn't learn everything that I needed to know to be what to get where I am from school and my kids weren't either.
