If you don't like or maybe even hate buddy a job, I have a thought for you. Get really good at it. Why, for two reasons, first of all, it's really difficult to dislike something that you're really, really good at. But second of all, if you're really, really good, you don't have to do it for as long. You need to get it done. If you're in a job, you'll probably get really good and then get moved on to a more senior task anyway. But even if you don't and you retain the responsibility, if you get really good, you can then teach someone so you can delegate the task away anyway. So if you really don't like something, it's worth putting in the effort to get really good because you won't have to do that job for as long if you're really good.
