And my wrong for wanting to divorce my husband because he's unemployed even though money isn't an issue. I've been married to my husband for 11 years and when we met, everything was split 50-50. Over time, my career took off while his didn't, and eventually I was covering about 75% of the expenses. My husband's always hated traditional jobs. He works in construction and has constantly told me he'd be happier and earn more if he worked for himself. Two years ago, after his company shut down, finally stopped pushing him to get another regular job and told him to go for it. Since then, he's picked up a few small projects here and there, nowhere near enough to contribute consistently. I now pay the mortgage for any holidays, the food, pretty much every major expense. The thing is, I do earn enough that we're not struggling. Fills get paid and are comfortable, but I'm exhausted. I feel like I'm carrying the entire financial responsibility when he only works when he feels like it. He thinks I'm being unfair because money isn't actually an issue, and he's finally happier. I feel like I've spent years supporting a dream that never became a reality. My wrong for thinking this might be a valid reason to end the marriage.
