Replying to @jeanbaptiste7463 You are doing a lot of mental gymnastics to convince yourself that America is safe. By staying in the United States you are putting yourself and your kids in unnecessary risk. Not only are they more likely to get shot, but they are ingesting more chemicals, incurring more debt, and have shorter life spans because you stayed. Every data point shows that your choice to stay is negligent. Simply asserting that things are fine does not make them fine. There is no beating the odds when it comes to chronic stress, violence against women, and worse healthcare outcomes. Willful ignorance isn’t cute. 🆘🇺🇸

Replying to @morganna776 Don’t assume your ex will block you from moving abroad with your kids. Learn to play off their ego and get them to agree with your international move. You could pitch the idea of them moving with you. You could convince them getting them in the summer is better for them. You could get them to agree to come do their parenting time in the new country on school breaks. Whatever you think will get them on board with the idea of taking the kids out of America…. Shared custody doesn’t always mean disagreeing about the best parenting plan. Focus on selling the idea to your ex in a way that benefits them. 🆘🇺🇸

No, you can’t just use tourist visas to roam around the world and work remotely. The bad advice on TikTok just keeps on coming. Digital nomads are advising clueless Americans to follow their lead and break laws internationally. Just because you can work from your laptop does not give you the legal right to do so within the borders of another country. Of course, I recognize that people do this all the time. But, bragging about and announcing your illegal activities on social media is beyond stupid. Plus, trying to convince other people to follow your criminal advice is only going to call attention to remote workers in a negative way. Digital nomad visas exist for a reason. Apply for the proper entry visas and do things by the book if you want to live your life of location independence. 🆘🇺🇸 #creatorsearchinsights

It is very common to misuse the word visa when it comes to immigration. You can’t live somewhere on a visa. The visa is what allows you to enter. You can enter countries on tourist visas, retirement visas, digital nomad visas, student visas, family re-unification visas, and more. But, that visa expires in 20, 60, 90, or 120 usually. After that visa expires, you will need to have converted your status to residency. I entered Japan on an ancestry visa, but then converted that to a long term residency permit. I entered Portugal on a D7 visa, but then converted that to a two-year temporary residency card. After some period of legal residency there are opportunities to gain citizenship. It is required that you have a least one citizenship, so you can’t renounce your only citizenship until you have gained a new one. 🆘🇺🇸

Replying to @seraphina.shop You may not realize this, but you have over 300,000 items in your home. Selling everything in your house is a great way to build your move abroad fund. When we left the country all our stuff for a family of 4 fit into 8 suitcases. In my minimalism e-course I teach you how to solve the underlying reasons why you accumulate stuff to begin with. Once you get rid of your stuff you are able to leave with money in your pocket and no stress about your possessions. Minimalism actually allowed us to turn our house into an Airbnb which is one of our main funding sources of our life abroad. 🆘🇺🇸

Everywhere you live has trade offs. In the U.S. you sacrifice safety for economic opportunity. For our family, we weren’t willing to live with that risk. Moving across the world gave us a sense of calm and freedom that is worth the loss of income potential. No amount of money could ever make up for the possibility that our kid could be gunned down at school in America. I don’t let parents pretend to be ignorant to the reality of gun violence in schools. You can’t just pretend you don’t realize that’s a possibility everyday you send your kids to school. Either admit you are wiling to take the risk or do something about it. The something we did was to move abroad where school shootings don’t happen. 🆘🇺🇸 #creatorsearchinsights

You don’t owe anyone an explanation for why you want to leave the United States. Whatever your reasons are for wanting to move to another country, they are enough. All the data supports your idea that leaving is best. Your mental health, your safety, and your future self all deserve to get out. I ran away from America five years ago and it was the best decision of our lives. We are all happier because we left. 🆘🇺🇸 #creatorsearchinsights

Replying to @justjaimie123 Saying you can’t leave the country because of money is your cover story. There is something deeper happening. You haven’t let your heart accept that leaving is what you really want. When someone wants something badly enough and they let themselves feel that, solutions will come. People make things happen if they want the bad enough. You will have to do things you have never done to go places you have never gone. If money was the only obstacle, you would have figured out how to get it by now. 🆘🇺🇸

Stop waiting to be ready. You will never be ready until after you’ve acted. Moving to a new country will change you. Hold your breath through the fear. You can do scary things and come out the other end a brand new version of yourself. Who you become if you move to one country will be an entirely different person than who you will end if you move somewhere else. Likewise, staying in America will keep you the stuck and the same in all the ways you hate. There is a country out there that will inspire you, light you up, and make you love life again. 🆘🇺🇸 #creatorsearchinsights

Replying to @ivansavii2 Anyone who tries to downplay the advantages of leaving America has an ulterior motive. There are no redeeming qualities about staying in the United States. In every way that matters America is behind. There are no freedoms that are worth the price of kids getting shot at schools. You have less rights today than you did when you were born and those rights are continuing to erode quickly. Don’t keep changing the goal post of how much you will tolerate from an authoritarian regime before you leave. I strongly believe you deserve safety, happiness, and freedom. If you believe that too, then it’s time to leave. 🆘🇺🇸

If you think living abroad is not easy, try losing your kid to gun violence. This might sound harsh, but gun violence at school is entirely predictable at this point. You can’t claim you didn’t know this could happen. All the mental gymnastics you are doing to convince yourself that it’s not that bad could be put into finding a way to move abroad. Safety is the norm abroad. Bad things happen at statistically lower rates, giving your child a much better chance of surviving un-traumatized. There will be lots of ways I screw my kids up as a parent, but my decision to take them overseas will never be a mistake. Your kids deserve to be kids. Stop raising them in the hard environment of the United States. 🆘🇺🇸 #creatorsearchinsights

You need to learn to vet the advice you get online. If it were just as easy as finding a job in Europe, everyone would have left already. You can’t get hired as an American in Europe without visa sponsorship. Intracompany transfers are a shortcut for multinational companies sponsoring their own employees. Brand new hires would require rigorous work sponsorship requirements, relocation packages, and long delays before any work is actually being done. You can see why getting hired by a European company is a unicorn opportunity. The only possible way you could go about doing this is using the shortage lists as a guide for roles you are targeting. Shortage lists are roles the government is fast tracking work sponsorship visas for because they are in serious need of more talent in that area. 🆘🇺🇸 #creatorsearchinsights
